IPADS.com prediction for the Apple iPad 2
Today, Steve Jobs from Apple will introduce the Apple iPad 2, and possibly additional products. Our predictions are as follows:
Apple iPad 2 Specs
1. Half retina Display at 162ppi
2. Thunderbolt and / or mini Hdmi connectivity
3. 1.2-1.5Ghz Dual Core CPU
4. Single 3mp camera, front facing
5. 1.25 lbs (versus the iPad @ 1.5)
6. 4G availability Summer 2011
The price of the Apple iPad 2 WiFi only model would be reduced to $399-$449, which will allow for an expanded market. Availability: one week.
And one more thing.
An “Apple iPad 3″ 7” iPad selling for $299 optimized for ebook reading with:
Apple iPad 3 Specs
1. Full Retina display
2. 14 oz weight
3. 10 hrs battery life
4. Front facing 2mp camera for FaceTime and Skype videoconferencing.
This would be a strong move against RIM as well.
We also expect an announcement of a free Cloud based backup/data sharing service which will allow for iTunes media to stream directly to iOS devices.
